Does the WADCM or WASIR apply for contracts made prior to 1 August 2021?
There has been some confusion amongst members about whether the current WA Service and Installation Requirements (WASIR) or former WADCM applies to contracts or notices made prior to 1 August 2021, with completion dates due after 1 February 2022.
NECA has clarified with Western Power and can confirm that the following applies:
Contracts prior to 1 August 2021
If a contract or notice was in place prior to 1 August 2021 then the requirements of the WADCM would apply, even if the completion date is after 1 February 2022.
Preliminary notice submitted after 1 August 2021
If a preliminary notice is submitted after 1 August 2021 and the completion date will be after 1 February 2022, the requirements of WASIR apply.
