The Government has not yet confirmed which licence fees will be waived, however we will update members as soon as we receive further information. Specifically, we have requested confirmation on fees for the following licences:
- Electrical Contractors Licence
- Electrical Workers Licence
- Electricians Licence
- Restricted Electrical Licence or Permit
- In-house Electrical Installing Work Licence
- Electricians Training Licence
- Working in Confined Space
- Elevated Work Platform
The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety have advised that they believe all licence types that they administer will be covered and in the meantime they are collecting details from anyone who has expressed financial hardship or concerns regarding any of the licensing fees in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. As soon as they have confirmation of the changes, they will update their website and write to all licence holders and applicants.
