Transition from NECA WA to ECA WA - 1 July 2018

Recently all members were contacted regarding NECA WA’s upcoming name change to ECA WA.

This change is occurring because Electrical Group Training, the College of Electrical Training and ECA WA (Union of Employers) which is better known as NECA WA, are being consolidated into a single company. Many members may have assumed that the three bodies were always one company but that is not the case.

Your membership of ECA WA (Union of Employers) will be transferred to the new ECA WA on 1 July 2018.

For those of you who currently pay for your membership and/or any safety products via direct debit from a bank account, we need you to please return your new Direct Debit Request forms, which were recently posted to you, as soon as possible. Please send us an email if you haven't received yours.

As part of this change, you will also notice some adjustments to our branding. These include:

  • A new logo. This will be distributed to all  members via email on Monday 2 July 2018. If you wish to use this logo in your company’s branding, please do so from this date. Other marketing materials such as new vehicle stickers will also be available.
  • A new website. The content from our current website,, will be moved to This will be live from 1 July 2018.
  • The Member Area website address will change from to Your member area login details will not be affected.
  • Staff email addresses will transition from to Automatic redirection of emails will take place during the transition period.
