The WA Commission in Court Session has now delivered its decision in the 2019 State Wage Case. The Commission increased the State Minimum Wage and State Award rates of pay in the State industrial relations system by 2.75%. These changes take effect from 1 July 2019.
The new State weekly minimum wage will be $746.90 which is still marginally better than the new Federal weekly minimum wage of $740.80.

Note also that from 1 July 2019 the high income threshold in unfair dismissal cases in the Fair Work Commission will increase to $148,700 and the compensation limit will be $74,350 for dismissals occurring on or after 1 July 2019.
