How to check if customer supplied electrical equipment is compliant

Members are often asked to install electrical equipment supplied by their customer. This puts members in a difficult situation where they need to determine if the supplied  equipment meets Australian compliance. 

Compliant electrical equipment should be marked to identify it is compliant with the Regulatory Compliance Mark:

Useful links to check for equipment compliance online

The Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council (ERAC) has created a central portal for identifying all certificates of electrical equipment issued under electrical safety laws in Australia. Click here to access. This database includes certificates issued by all jurisdictions in Australia except NSW.
