Following the successful implementation of the Electronic Lodgement of Notices with over 95% of electrical notices now lodged electronically, Western Power has been advised by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety - Building and Energy, that a full transition to Electronic Lodgement will commence on 1 July 2019, commencing with the phasing out of paper Preliminary notices.
Western Power will not be able to accept any Preliminary Notice or Notice of Completion received in paper format, with a certification date on or after the dates above. The certification date is the date the notice is signed by the Nominee.
To ensure a smooth transition, Western Power recommends that any electrical contractors using paper change to Electronic Lodgement using eNotice, as soon as possible.
If you anticipate the work listed on a Preliminary Notice is likely to be completed on or after 1 October 2019, Western Power recommends that you lodge your preliminary notice electronically, using eNotice. This will enable the same method to be used to submit the Preliminary Notice and Notice of Completion and ensure the Notice numbers are the same.
