Does your graduate apprentice have their Electrician's Licence yet?

Did you know that once an apprentice has completed their apprenticeship, their Training Licence will continue to have effect until either a valid Electrician’s Licence has been granted, or for a period of three months from the completion of the apprenticeship, whichever occurs first.

If an employer continues to employ the ex-apprentice, then until such time that they have been issued with an Electrician’s Licence by  the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, they cannot be engaged as an electrical tradesperson nor can they undertake unsupervised electrical installation work.
