Did you know...unpaid family and domestic violence leave is now part of the National Employment Standards?

As of 12 December 2018, unpaid family and domestic violence leave is now part of the National Employment Standards.  As such, all employees, including part time and casuals, are entitled to 5 days of unpaid family and domestic violence leave each year.

Family and domestic violence is violent, threatening or other abusive behaviour that seeks to coerce or control the employee or causes the employee harm or to be fearful by a member of the employee’s immediate family or a person who is related to the employee according to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander kinship rules.
