NECA is on the road!

After a break due to COVID, NECA is back on the road!

The NECA team and Western Power representatives, will present an update on all the changes that have happened in the industry over the last few months, particularly issues and information regarding:

Western Power - this update will be presented by an inspector who will discuss items found during inspections, defect trends and new Western Power rules and guidelines.

Hot Technical Topics - NECA Technical talks more than 1,000 enquiries each month, we will discuss the Top 5 issues.

Building and Energy (formerly Energy Safety)

New Security of Payment legislation to ensure contractors get paid

Increases in funding for employers of apprentices

Proposed Industrial Manslaughter legislation - this is a CRITICAL piece of legislation for all contractors as it contains potential penalties for business owners and senior managers of 20 years jail and fines up to $5,000,000

The evening will conclude with a Q&A session and light refreshments.

These events are FREE for both NECA Members and non-members.

COVID-19 and Event Safety Measures

We look forward to welcoming you back to NECA Events in 2020. Your safety at our events is our top priority.

NECA has put measures in place to ensure that our events delivered with a high level of hygiene with a focus on keeping our attendees safe and well.

  • All NECA functions will be risk assessed in the week prior
  • All upcoming event venues will have ample space to allow for social distancing - which we encourage whenever possible
  • All venues adhere to the recommended cleaning standards of high touch surfaces
  • Hand sanitisers and masks will be readily available
  • If you have any cold-like symptoms, have recently been travelling interstate or overseas (or in contact with a traveller) please stay home.
